Ingenico Group (Euronext: FR0000125346 - ING), the global leader in seamless payments announces a new partnership with Izipay, the largest acquirer to accept all brands of debit and credit cards in Peru, and leader in providing Ingenico’s POS for micro-merchants & SMBs. Through the deployment of 90,000 Ingenico’s POS Link/2500 and Move/5000 terminals, Ingenico has allowed Izipay to grow its business dramatically in the region.
As the trusted and proactive partner in the world of payment acceptance, Ingenico’s R&D team in Colombia developed a modular payment application to support Izipay requirements for recurring compliance, scheme certifications and new use cases.
Offering the first POS capable of accepting all debit and credit cards to its customers, Izipay was able to improve its brand awareness and become a differentiated partner in the financial services environment in Peru.
According to Felipe Venturo, CEO of Izipay: “With our partner Ingenico, we disrupted the payment market in Peru by launching the first POS that sends vouchers via SMS (Link/2500) with an excellent acceptance and results. We subsequently launched the first POS with a printer (Move/5000), enabling a simple on-screen sign in process with automatic printing of the signature, or alternatively the option to go paperless.”

Aligned with its business strategy, Izipay wants to affiliate 150,000 new merchants in 2020, reaching almost 300,000 total merchants, which will exceed the payment POS network reached in 20 years, and plans to reach 1 Million new merchants in 2023. Its strategy also enclosed financial inclusion, turning it easier to merchants to enroll to Izipay, and start receiving payments in one device with all kind of debit, credit and prepaid cards, with no need to pay fees such as installation, rent or monthly maintenance.
